Founded in 1921, the Coningsby Club has existed for over a century allowing Oxford and Cambridge alumni to continue to engage with the Conservative cause.
A brief history of the Coningsby Club
The Coningsby Club is a dining society founded in 1921 to bring together conservatively-minded students from Oxford and Cambridge, including alumni of OUCA and CUCA.
Whilst we maintain many recent records, and further records can be found in both the Oxford and Cambridge University libraries, we are naturally keen to hear from anybody with further details of our history or records.
Our famous Coningsby Club Bell is engraved with all our former Chairmen, including many notable names such as our President, Lord Howard of Lympne, Lord Lawson, Lord Lamont, Jeremy Hunt, Reginald Maudling, Andrew Mitchell, and Lord Rees-Mogg. A full list of former Chairmen may be found here.
